The Missouri Department of Social Services is responsible for coordinating programs to provide: 

Public assistance to help Missourians with Food Stamps, Temporary Aid to Needy Families (TANF), Energy Assistance, Medical Assistance, health care, child care, child support, blind services and other basic needs, health care coverage for eligible Missourians, child welfare services to help ensure the safety, permanency and well-being of Missouri children, and specialized assistance to troubled youth.

The WARM House is a community of volunteers based on faith in Jesus Christ determined to make a positive difference in the lives of our neighbors in Benton County. WARM House operates a thrift store with clothing, some furniture and household items.  They provide assistance with food, clothing, utility bills, and medication.

Our Community Services Program, which is funded primarily by the Community Services Block Grant, offers a wide array of programs to help those in need. WILS works to empower people with disabilities to achieve and maintain their independence. As a Center for Independent Living (CIL), WILS is a non-residential, nonprofit resource center. WILS offers programs and services for people with disabilities and their families at all stages of life so they can live independently at home and within their community. Fifty-one percent of our staff and board of directors are persons with disabilities; we are who we serve.  As a Center for Independent Living, We Offer 5 Core Services: Information & Referral, Independent Living Skills, Peer Mentoring, Advocacy, Life Transitions WILS also offers many additional programs like Consumer Directed Services, accessible transportation, assistive technology demos, and CLAIM Medicare counseling. WILS serves people with disabilities in Benton, Henry, Johnson, Lafayette, Pettis, and Saline Counties.
