A healthy diet includes plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. From May to October, you'll find a wonderful selection of fresh items at our farmers market. You'll also find prepared foods and baked goods, unique craft items and food trucks selling delicious sandwiches and other food items to go.

We are striving to increase access to healthy foods for our underserved area. Our public schools average 70% of the student population qualifying for free and reduced lunches. Our farmers market will serve these populations better with a matching grant up to $25 per family per week for SNAP/EBT card purchases. The proposed kitchen will increase our ability to provide public education through cooking classes and increased demand for fruits and vegetables.

WIC is a food supplement program designed to help pregnant women, breast-feeding moms, or women who recently gave birth, consume adequate nutrition. The program also covers infants under 12 months old, and children under 5 years old.

Welcome to the senior meals program at the McCarty Senior Center. Cooking and serving nutritious, delicious meals to people 60 and older are at the core of our operations. We are always working to provide more variety of quality lunches in a relaxed, fun environment where you will be welcomed. People 60 and older may enjoy lunch in our dining rooms, regardless of their ability to contribute; however, we encourage contributions. People younger than 60 are welcome to enjoy lunch for the actual cost of the meal.Home-delivered meals available to qualified seniors.
