Catholic Charities of Central and Northern Missouri (CCCNMO), an entity of the Diocese of Jefferson City, responds to the needs of people in 38 counties regardless of faith, culture, or situation. This includes services for refugees and immigrants, those with food insecurity, mental health needs, health and nutrition education, and disaster preparation and response. Through the Health and Nutrition Services program, CCCNMO partners with the Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri to facilitate the Senior Food Box and Buddy Pack programs.
Food Pantry is opened on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m, Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. It is closed the first Saturday of every month while the Food Bank's Mobile Food Pantry distributes food in their parking lot from 9 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Food Pantry schedule can be found here: https://cccnmo.diojeffcity.org/events/

Services: An intake interview is offered for the purpose of assessment and goal setting. Subsequently information and referral may be provided and/or enrollment in one of our programs. Programs include: Side by Side - individual coaching in the areas of life purpose, basic budgeting, job search, housing search, and credit score building. Extra Mile - 16 week, high accountability money management coaching with rewards/incentives. Extra Mile Homes – Four to six month transitional housing with money management and person coaching. The Love Seat – Free basic needs furniture for those in crisis or transition with church/agency verified need; resale store for those desiring to purchase low-cost items. Bike 2 to the Future – Free bicycle, helmet and lock for adults needing transportation to work or school.

New Horizons assists adults with disabling mental illnesses as well as adults with co-occurring substance use disorders. Services: Community Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program which includes Community Support, Healthcare Home, Medication Services, Crisis Intervention and Resolution, Counseling Services, Psychosocial Rehabilitation (day program), and Residential Services. In Boone County, New Horizons also offers a homeless outreach program, Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness (PATH). New Horizons is a nonprofit corporation certified by the MO Dept. of Mental Health and accredited by CARF.

Services: Veterinary care services for companion animals are available, including vaccines, heartworm and fecal testing, blood work, vaccines, behavior support, nutrition consultation and more. Treatment for common conditions, such as ear infections, eye infections, urinary tract infections, gastrointestinal upset, diarrhea, fleas/ticks, and skin infections.
