At Spectrum Health Care, we provide an array of health-related services, accept most insurances including Medicare and Medicaid, and offer a sliding-scale for those uninsured, under-insured, or unemployed. Our clinic offers primary care with referrals to other services as needed, including diagnostics, imagining, dental, vision, orthopedic and psychiatric care.

HOUSING ASSISTANCE: We provide long-term assistance in the form of rent and mortgage payments. Additionally, supportive assistance is provided for utilities, emergency housing, rental and utilities deposits, referrals and coordination with case management services.

Services: 

Anger Management Learn to handle anger effectively and use it in a productive manner. Trainings and education can be scheduled to fit your specific needs, including workplace safety. Separate curriculum is available for youth. 12 week course as required by the state of Missouri for offenders, with lessons provided by Tasca Tolson, a certified anger management specialist (CAMS II).

Batterers’ Intervention Program (BIP) is a program that batterers attend, usually as part of the legal system response to an act of domestic violence. A batterer may also attend a program voluntarily. A BIP can play an important role in a coordinated community response to domestic violence, but it is important that victim safety and offender accountability remain the primary goals of a BIP. Other goals may include education and awareness of the belief system that allows battering to occur.

True North serves those who are fleeing or would like to flee abusive domestic or sexual violence situations. Victims of domestic violence include those who are being abused either, physically, verbally, emotionally and/or psychologically by an intimate partner. Sexual violence victims include those who have been a victim of rape, sexual assault/harassment, human trafficking or stalking. We have a 24/7 hotline that you can call and an emergency shelter. We also provide orders of protection, case management, crisis intervention, counseling, support groups, domestic violence/sexual assault education, court and hospital advocacy, children’s services and outreach to any victim regardless of whether they are residing in our shelter or not.

Fee: All services of FREE and confidential for victims and their minor children

Eligibility: Must be experiencing domestic or sexual violence and wanting a safe way out of or a safer way to stay in the relationship.
