This week there are NO SKILLS ASSESSMENTS for any grade to complete.
This week is all about dancing. Dancing is such a great cardiovascular activity that means that it gets your heart pumping. The part that I like about dancing is that you can take basic moves and then add your own style to it. I try to introduce dances to my students that they would potentially come across when they attend weddings or other celebrations where there is a DJ. Below will be a series of video links that will get you up and moving. If you find the videos challenging at your grade level, don't be afraid to do the ones from other grade levels as well.
We will also introduce aerobic drumming which you could replicate at home by using a bucket and some larger kitchen utensils, but check with your parents before using these things and you do not need to hit the bucket as hard as you can, tapping to the beat is the important part of this activity as well as following the movements you see on the screen.
Next week will also be another week of Dancing and will feature some more videos like the ones below as well as some Just Dance song titles from YouTube.
