Girls are not able to go to school due to poverty and culture. Poverty in girls have to stay at home and do chores around the house. There are many reasons why girls are not in school. Some are because of poverty, lack of water, and religion.
Nearly half of the world's population live in poverty. Three billion people live on less than $2.50 a day. There are more than 1.3 billion that live in extreme poverty and live on less than $1.25 a day.

There is a huge water problem in most countries. There are billions of children all over the world who suffer for not having clean water and most children die due to sickness. The water is too dirty to drink because you will get very sick which leads to life threatening or very dangerous causes. Most of the kids all around the world do not have clean water.
Associated with the lack of education, there is a high divorce rate, overpopulation, epidemic diseases such as AIDS and malaria. Environmental problems such as lack of rainfall causes drought which can lead to less crops for food.
Islamic believe girls do not need an education. Girls are told they should stay home and help with family and chores.
