Users can only request a booking within 60 days of current date
Users cannot create a block booking for purchase orders that have multiple payment terms codes
We cannot allocate multiple delivery agents to one email address
The PCC looks at the vendor item number not the No we enter into NAV
For blanket orders , commercial must create purchase orders off this to allow suppliers to book in ( i have been told this is done at the time of creation ) leave the owness on commercial to fix if this is a problem
The algorithm will only be triggered on weekdays
The algorithm will run for each state at 2pm (local time for that state)
The algorithm allocates any outstanding unallocated bookings every time it runs.
The algorithm will only focus on bookings for specific business units AOL, WA, AOLCOM, WACOM, display location codes, 201WINHOME, 201STUDIO. Excludes 3PL bookings.
When OTB is on (ie when we need to manage our cash flows), the algo will allocate bookings for the rest of the current month that are marked as: proforma , consignment , extended payment terms , payment terms with a due date falling in 2 months' time. (60DAYS, 45DAYS, ….)
Algo will ignore POs in PCC that are unallocated but the associated PO doesn’t exist in Navision anymore and pos with multiple payment term codes ( manaia will manually approve these ones )
Allocation decisions are made at a warehouse level by a genetic algorithm which purpose is to minimize our costs / maximize customer satisfaction by optimizing allocations based on:
sales orders for the next 60 days
stock levels over the next 60 days - includes any confirmed bookings in the systems
sales forecasts where it applies (currently AOL retail only)
profit per unit
daily warehouse storage cost
volume per unit
warehouse available capacity over the next 60 days
Open to Buy (OTB) constraints when applies
While we try to allocate as close to the requested delivery date as possible, covering sales orders across all business units is the priority whenever facing capacity restrictions. When facing an overstock situation, a booking would be pushed out accordingly in the group’s best interests.
