Students will create The Winter Mitten project. This is a 3 day project.
Students will create a Winter Mitten artwork made with lines, shapes, and colors. They will then use the lines, shapes , and colors to create a pattern.
(There will be 3 demonstration videos and there are examples below.)
Lines- straight, curvy, wavy, Zig-Zag.
Shapes- Squares, circles, rectangles, ovals.
Patterns - A repeated design.
Repeat- To do the same thing again.
Please watch the Introduction Video. Then watch the video of the story The Mitten. Next, follow the three instructional demonstration videos that will discuss the creation of the project and the goals of the project for the young artist to create a The Winter Mitten. Please pause or replay the Demonstration videos as needed.
Materials to be used: 1 sheet of paper, pencil, Color pencils or crayons or markers, Scissors, Black Marker or black crayon, glue sticks, color construction paper 9" x 12".
