What art tools do you think we will use to make it? Why?
Students will create one Pumpkin Still Life Collage.
This is considered to be a 3 art class, or 3 week, project: 1 demonstration video per week.Â
Introducing a Still-Life and reinforcing a collage
Collage- when other pieces of paper are cut or ripped and then glued to another sheet of paper to create a new artwork.
Still-Life - A Still-Life picture is a picture of smaller objects that can fit on a table and are still (they can't move on their own).Â
1. It's from real life. 2. Small enough to fit on a table. 3. Objects cannot move on their own.
Layers- when things (like paper) are placed on top of each other.
Overlap- When something (like paper) is placed partway on top of another piece of paper.
Please follow the slide show presentation video: you can pause it at any time if needed.
Then watch the three instructional demonstration videos that will discuss the creation of the project and the goals of the project for the young artist to create a Great Pumpkin Still Life collage.
Materials to be used: 2 sheets of paper; a pencil; crayons or markers or colored pencils or watercolor paint or tempera paint; scissors; glue stick.
