We are changing from a Landscape picture (picture of outside) to a Still-Life picture (picture of inside).
Students will create a painting of apples on a table for a Still-Life. Inspired by Paul Cezanne. This will be a 3 day/class project. And an introduction to collage in the Art Room.
Still-Life - objects that are small enough to fit on a table, cannot move on their own, and are from real life.
Collage - cutting and gluing together to make art (using scissors and glue).
Please follow the slide show presentation video. Be careful not to click directly on any pictures in the slide show. If that happens, it will take you to the website where the picture is from.
Then watch the attached two instructional videos below to follow along with the slide presentation. It will discuss the project and the goals of the project for the young artist to create a Self-Portrait.
Materials to be used: several sheets of paper; a pencil; red, yellow, and green crayons or markers or colored pencils or paint.
Day 1 - draw the line drawing.
Day 2 - paint the apples.
Day 3 - cut and glue the apples onto new construction paper colors to create the Still-Life.
