Pop Art Shapes

Introduction Questions. Discuss with a partner.

This will be the Pop Art Shapes project that will explore the use of repetition and warm and cool colors. 

This is considered to be a 3 art class, or 3 week, project: 2 Demonstration Videos.

Students will create 1 Pop Art Shapes artwork.

• Pop Art - Use bright bold colors and repetition of shapes.

• Repetition or Repeat - To draw or the same thing again and again.

• Texture - How something feels. Texture can be seen.

• Warm Colors - Red, orange, and yellow colors.

• Cool Colors - Blue, Purple, and green Colors.

Materials to be used: Pencil, paper, paint (if the young artist has it) or color pencils or crayons if they do not have paint.

 At the end of the project, please take a moment to complete the short Participation form at the bottom of the page.

• Examples of the project using different art tools. The first one was created with crayons. The second one was created with Paint. And the third one was created with Crayola markers.
