Aqualacera is a genus of retractable-jawed, parthenogenic Vorsa species sporting four large eyes on either side of its head and filling a similar niche to Earth's salamanders. While individual shapes/sizes differ between species, each is characterized by a long, jagged jaw and unique external "mouths" that run the length of its body and shove water inside akin to the movement of flippers.
Azure Xolot
(Aqualacera azuris)
The Azure Xolot, Aqualacera azuris, is a large omnivorous species of xolot typically residing in humid, morass-centric environments in Pratoria. They are immediately recognizable by their giant eyes, long and jagged retractable jaw, and many external mouths. These external mouths run the length of its body and shove water inside akin to the movement of flippers. Respiration is still carried out through the skin just as in other Xi'ialoan fauna, although hydrogen is also absorbed from the sheer amount of water these organisms have flowing through their bodies. They are known to reside both in aquatic and terrestrial environments, although this genus in particular is known for its affinity to water. Aqualacera is the only currently known genus that lays its eggs at river bottoms, forcing its young to swim to the surface in a tense journey before being completely acclimated to the hydrogen environment above the river. They typically grow to around 2-3 ft (.610-.914 m) long and typically weigh up to 55 lbs (24.95 kg).
