Triacrura is a genus of three-legged, herbivorous, parthenogenic Geanta species. While individual shapes/sizes differ between species, each is characterized by long teeth, three legs, and a spore-producing tail.

(Triacrura iliata)
The Jade Triacrura, Triacrura iliata, is a medium-sized herbivorous species of triacrura typically residing in humid, acrid environments found in Pratoria. They are immediately recognizable by their three-legged stance and their long, jagged teeth used for breaking apart their food source, the Morta (skeleton plants). Once the hard shells have been penetrated, their insides are fit for consumption, providing not only nutrients to the species but keeping the skeleton plants in check, ensuring they are unable to spread much past their current range. These animals are only hunted by varkoleks, the biome's apex predators, although they are scavenged upon by other opportunistic feeders as well. Their three-legged stance is unique in that their hind leg doubles as a functioning six-fingered hand, used for anything from holding a plant steady to warding off predators. Triacruras can quickly shift into a bipedal stance using only their front legs in order to use this appendage; this adaptation is also useful for running, although it does look a bit awkward. They reproduce parthenogenically, injecting spores/seeds from the end of their tail into the remaining shells of recently-consumed skeleton plants. They depend upon these plants, the basis of the acrid environment, for both food and reproduction. This delicate balance is symbolic of the biome as a whole, as each species plays a crucial role in its survival and containment. They typically grow to around 5 ft (1.52 m) tall and 5 ft (1.52 m) long without including tail and typically weigh around 500 lbs (.454 kg).
