Morass
The bayou-like morass is characterized by tendrilous sprig forests with seasonal flooding. Flowering sprigs (class Mussiria) and smaller flora create sylvan habitats for a vast variety of faunal species. Endemic macroorganisms occupy a variety of niches, from the arboreal, scaled green lecarda (Hypurona viridis) to aquatic flyers like the red scraw (Oculocygnus rubrum). Small nemoras undergo stunning aquatic migrations, while the superpredator Geantas prowl overhead. Isolated morasses on Tarnen have evolved near-flightless Blactas filling the apex niche. Morasses teem with life, with heavy rains refreshing water bodies throughout the year. Morasses are present on Arere, Pratoria, and Tarnen.
