Hypurona

Hypurona is a genus of arboreal, mixed-reproduction Scana species somewhat reminiscent of drepanosaurs. While individual shapes/sizes differ between species, each is characterized by a  long, fan-like tail used for gliding between sprigs.

Green Lecarda
(Hypurona viridis)

The Green Lecarda, Hypurona viridis, is a small omnivorous species of lecarda typically residing in humid, morass-based environments. They reside in morasses in Pratoria, where they are numerous within the sprigs' canopy. They are immediately recognizable by their long, fan-like tail used for gliding between sprigs and also occasionally used to aid in aquatic behaviors. They reproduce strictly parthenogenically, growing genetically identical eggs and laying them much akin to Earth's lizards. They make nests inside sprig trunks, and their young primarily feed on the Sugara sapsuckers residing within. Their crests serve as the primary mode of hydrogen respiration and circulation due to the presence of thick, impermeable scales on their skin. They typically grow to around 2 ft (.61 m) long and typically weigh around 50 lbs (22.68 kg).
