460.025 - Statewide

There are approximately 15 repeaters on 460.025 across Vermont.

Usually on hilltops or mountain tops. I believe this is a statewide

law enforcement channel. Each site is licensed for a repeater (FB2)

and a base station (FB). All of the local PDs are licensed for FX1 on

465.025. I think that mobiles are probably licensed for 460.025 and

465.025.

I will guess that all of the sites are interconnected via microwave,

Internet, or phone lines. I will further guess that someone (maybe VSP

HQ) has the ability to listen at each site - either via the repeater

or via the base station. This would give someone the ability to hear

all simplex and all repeater traffic on the system. It is unknown if

any simulcast is used.

Maybe each site has a different PL on the input - yielding 15 discrete networks.

Maximum capability would be a synchronized simulcast system which

could be heard by any and all police officers onduty in the entire

State.
