The Town of Conway has -
- 1 police department - they make almost 3 arrests per day - very busy
- they just hired a fulltime lawyer at $60,000 per year to be their
Prosecutor
- 2 ambulance services (North Conway Amb and Village Fire) (both got
$77,000 from the Town for services in 2010)
- 5 fire departments - Center + Village + East + North + Redstone
- any areas not located within a fire precinct or fire district are
protected either by Village FD or North FD - (they got $267,000 for
this service from the Town in 2010) - I think this is the rural area
in the north central part of the Town (see the map)
- The 911 dispatchers operate under the PD
- I think that all of the FDs are dispatched on 155.76 - all FDs use
call men (except that North has maybe 4 FT and Village has maybe 3 FT
IIRC)
- map shows NH FDs - you can see that East Conway FD is almost in downtown Fryeburg Maine
Conway has 1 or 2 hospitals - Fryeburg Maine has a hospital also
The Towns of Albany and Easton are covered by 2 of the Conway FDs
The North Conway Ambulance seems to cover a few towns in Carroll
County NH also (they will be heard on 154.175R on those calls)
