Anti-Federalist

Papers

What are the Anti-Federalist Papers?

The Anti-Federalist Papers -- much like the Federalist Papers -- were a series of articles written by numerous authors. However, these articles opposed ratification of the new Constitution. The Bill of Rights Institute suggests the most important of these documents may be the essays of Brutus, which provide compelling counterarguments to the Federalist Papers. Today, they a provide useful resource for interpreting the original intent of the U.S. Constitution.
