Finding the Candidates on Your Ballot

The best way to find out who’s on your ballot is to check with your county’s election office. This site provides links to county Election Commissioners in 69 Nebraska counties, and County Clerks for the other 24: https://sos.nebraska.gov/elections/election-officials-contact-information. Navigate your way to your county’s Election Commissioner page and look for a link to 2022 primary election information or a document called “Notice of Election.” You should find a sample ballot for your county. Once you have the names of the candidates on your ballot, spend some time getting to know them. Searching on candidates' names should lead you to campaign websites, social media, and news articles. If the candidate has no online presence, that should tell you something, too. This may seem like work, but if you’re interested enough to vote, you’ll probably find the research worthwhile.
