  • March 16th-24th: the second mailing delivered to households

What can I expect when I receive the census?

The census will not include your name; instead it will be addressed to "Resident" at your address. It will include an overview of the census, options for language assistance, a unique ID number linked to your address, and the physical census form.

What are my options for responding

  • Online:
    • Mailings will contain ID numbers and additional information for how to fill the census out online. Recipients will enter their ID number at the Census Bureau site, where they will then complete the form.
  • Phone:
    • Mailings will contain ID numbers and additional information for how to fill the census over the phone. A telephone questionnaire assistance phone number will be available for respondents on March 1.
  • Mail:
    • Mailings will include instructions and a paper questionnaire. Paper questionnaires should be completed and mailed back to the Census Bureau.

If you have left the community due to COVID-19, you should still use the address you would have lived at had COVID-19 not occurred.

If you have do not have an ID code because you have left the place of residence where it was mailed to, click the link below the ID entry that reads, "If you do not have a Census ID, click here."
