Ways to Celebrate Black History

How can I celebrate Black History?

Americans highlight Black History during the month of February, but remember that Black history is American history. You can continue to show your pride and support for Black History throughout the year by educating yourself and those around you. Explore the collections and exhibits from the National Museum of African American History and Culture through their mobile app. The Library of Congress, the National Archives and other organizations partner to provide educational resources for celebrating Black history. Stream films that highlight Black voices and Black history -- Marshall, Malcolm X, Selma, Loving, Just Mercy, Hidden Figures, 13th, Harriet, and The Hate U Give -- all serve as great educational tools. Finally, you can celebrate on our campus February 15 by attending the Black History Month Celebration, sponsored by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
