Myossa Swamp is situated on low ground in proximity to the Stormwall, a combination of conditions that has led the ground to become thoroughly saturated with water. Dozens of rivers and streams snake through the swamp, rivulets of runoff from the Stormwall and offshoot storms. The weather here is always humid and most often hot, and mist, rain, and thunderstorms frequent the area, creating a muggy environment perfect for amphibians, insects, and anything that likes dampness.
Very few people live willingly in the Myossa Swamp. The Bahamuti dragonborn tribes, situated nearest to the swamp, view it sometimes as a cursed place of ill fortune and mists that twist the mind as they twist the sense of direction, and sometimes as a place where one can go to contact the gods, the ancestors, or other supernatural beings, entering the swamps in a sort of sacred quest and coming out changed. Those seeking redemption, vengeance, asylum, or miraculous healing may seek their answers here.
