Fior is the goddess of the winds and weather, wealth, trade, and luck. Her symbols are a gold-horned sheep, a <?>, a golden leaf, and a coin with a hole through the middle, which has swirling clouds etched on one side, and rays of sunlight on the other. Her nicknames include Lady Luck. Fior presides over all manor of businesses and traders, from the lowly shepherd bartering with their wool to the wealthiest merchant who oversees a major trade route. Much as the whims of the wind and the whims of the populace can be fickle, so too can Fior's favor appear and disappear at random, though her supplicants pray always for good luck rather than bad. Fior favors those who are shrewd with their wealth, investing wisely and preparing in case of a turn of poor luck, but she also favors those with bold strategies, willing to gamble on a chance at fortune. Though Fior is most prominent along trade routes as a patron of merchants, she is also an important figure among rural folks who pray to her for favorable weather.
Fior most often appears as either a beautiful young woman or a wizened old woman, both wearing fine clothing and sporting coins as jewelry and other accessories. Halflings are a favored species for Fior to appear as in cultures where they are present, though she'll happily appear in the guise of other species. Her eyes are sky blue in both forms, and her hair tends to be white in both forms as well, billowing up in curls that bleed into clouds. Fior is often depicted in her halfling form in art, drawing gold coins from within her pouch.
Temples to Fior can be found near most major trade centers, and shrines to her are often common in the multi-use temples of small farming communities, for her importance to both the weather their crops need to grow, and the trade required to earn money for them. There is no particular place considered favorable for the building of temples to her, but most of such temples are bedecked with wind chimes.
