A global citizen is someone who is aware of and understands the wider world - and their place in it. They take an active role in their community, and work with others to make our planet more equal, fair and sustainable. A global citizen respects and values diversity an take responsibility for their actions.
You as event students and students educating yourself in the field of tourism and hospitality will through your future work-life meet people from all over the world, you will meet different cultures, you will meet different opinions - just like you do in the classes here at UCL. Thus we have the ambition to educate and train you to be the best version of you as a global citizen, that you can possibly be – in the service, hospitality, tourism or event industry. You will be able to use events as a method for contributing to a change in the world.
