There are five datacrons on Hoth. The orange mastery and green endurance datacrons require some finesse with platforming, the red matrix shard and red mastery datacrons require a special item, while the yellow presence datacron is quite easy to get. They provide moderate attribute bonuses. All five are required for the Hoth Datacron Master achievement.

To access the red matrix shard datacron you must first purchase a Hydro-Thinner from the faction cantina vendor for 18,000 credits. This will melt the ice surrounding the datacron, making it interactable for the whole world for a few minutes.

Depleted Datacron
To access the red mastery datacron you must first destroy the Ancient Probe wandering the Clabburn tundra who is carrying it. The droid has a set spawn location in the east near the Star Fortress bunker. At the end of its pathway it will begin to patrol back and forth. Once destroyed Ancient Probe will drop a Depleted Datacron which must be taken to the Coupled Recharge Station in The Star of Coruscant. Ancient Probe has an hour respawn timer once destroyed. Interacting with the Coupled Recharge Station will charge the datacron for the whole world for a few minutes.
