Taunlet Pet Guide

NVSCCS

The Taunlet is a special pet accessible on Hoth with the aid of some gathered and crafted materials. Firstly, to subdue the taunlet on Hoth you'll need to purchase the Non-Violent Small Creature Capture System from Lain-Ricie on Alderaan. The dart costs 5,000 credits and is single use.

Ice Fern

Pickled Space Worm

To craft Ice Scrabbler Jerky you will need two special items; Ice Fern and Pickled Space Worm. Ice Fern can be found in several locations around Hoth. Collecting it is per character, and it takes several hours for the Ice Fern to replenish for someone else to pick up. Pickled Space Worm may be purchased from the faction cantina vendors on Hoth for 700 credits, and the Ice Scrabbler Jerky requires 2. Once the two rare items are collected, you will need 4 Cosmic Trace Particles and 4 Inert Virus, the grade 4 biochem crafting materials, and 1 Ice Scrabbler Liver. Once all items are gathered, you will be able to craft Ice Scrabbler Jerky on a character with Biochem 270. Ice Scrabbler liver drops from Gargath and Snowblind and the schematic drops from random mobs on Hoth, as well as operation bosses.

Ice Scrabbler Jerky

Once you have an Ice Scrabbler Jerky crafted you may venture into the chasm in Glacial Fissure and activate the jerky to trigger a Frightened Taunlet to spawn. The buff lasts for 60 minutes, and once you approach the area a raid announcement should appear on your screen, indicating that the taunlet has spawned. You may then select the taunlet and use the NVSCCS on it, capturing it and granting your current character the taunlet pet.

Unlocking the nerf calf pets is a multistep process that is identical on the three planets, with the only difference being the pet collected, and one additional step on Hoth. To start you must first locate the datapad labeled A Nerf Herder's Guide to Nerfs, which will provide detailed information on how to capture your own nerf pet. Once read, you will need to find bait to tempt your prospective nerf calf. This is the Frozen Plant on Hoth, Strange Plant on Alderaan, or Strange Root on Voss. An additional step is required on Hoth to take your Frozen Plant near a geothermal vent in the Glacial Fissure map to turn Frozen Plant into Thawed Plant. Once collected, and thawed as necessary, you may travel to the indicated nerf location and tempt a nerf calf with your food. The achievement, title, and art will unlock once all three nerf calves have been located.

This achievement is unobtainable, and is supposed to be unlocked for owning eight Korrealis mounts, some of which are incredibly rare spawns or are not available in game. The required mounts are the Korrealis Baron, Korrealis Baron SE, Korrealis Commander, Korrealis Commander SE, Korrealis Prince, Korrealis Prince SE, Korrealis Sovereign, Korrealis Sovereign SE, however the SE versions of the mounts are no longer available, if they ever were.
