This achievement is unlocked for killing 30 player characters in the Eastern Ice Shelf where the Ensuring Our Victory and Frozen Front missions take place. Althuogh the achievement is likely supposed to only count kills that take place when the encounters are up it is also counting them when the missions are finished.
