Draw 2 different types of fishing rods and reels, label the parts and explain how and when each would be used.
Demonstrate how to tie any 2 of the following knots and give an example of how the knot is used in fishing:
- clinch
- palomar
- turle
- blood loop (barrel knot)
- double surgeon's loop
Name and identify 5 basic artificial lures and 5 natural baits and explain how to fish with them. Explain why baitfishes are not to be released.
Know the dates of the monsoon seasons (of the current year).
Know the names and identify at least 3 types of fish sold in the local market.
Keep a log book over a period of 3 months of fishing trips undertaken. The log is to contain a note of water conditions, weather, wind direction and strength, species and numbers of fish caught and baits which prove successful
