1. Describe or write down the preparations required for a 1-day expedition to a rural part of Singapore or to Palau Ubin, including the cost of expedition, correct clothing, footwear, first aid kit, food etc
2. Take part in 2 Cub Scout expeditions outdoors, one of which should include a hike of at least 10 kilometres.
3. Build a simple shelter, using natural materials.
4. Build and light a fire outdoors and use it to make a hot drink.
5. Find your way along a route of at least 1 kilometre using one of the following methods: compass, maps, tracking signs, landmarks, clues and codes.
