2 Apr 1871 - Census - Marsh Hotel, Pearson's Buildings. John Scott, publican and family recorded here. John was also a mechanic foreman.

Jun 1875 - Brewery - Acquired by Richard Whitaker & Sons.

26 Jan 1878 - Death Notice - Mr John Scott of the Marsh Hotel died 21 Jan 1878, aged 61.

28 Jan 1878 - Licence Transfer - Marsh Hotel. From John Scott, deceased to Christiana Scott.

3 Apr 1881 - Census - Marsh Hotel, Liversedge. Landlady recorded as the widow Christiana Scott and family.

5 Apr 1891 - Census - Premises not named but other evidence suggests it was here. Landlord recorded as James Scott (son of the above named John & Christiana Scott).

25 Feb 1892 - Inquest - The Coroner's Inquest into the death of 14 victims who had perished in the Rawfolds chimney collapse was opened at the Marsh Hotel, which is more or less opposite the scene of the disaster.

Nov 1895 - Brewery - Acquired by Brear & Brown for £4500.

10 Aug 1895 - Probate Calendar - James Scott of the Marsh Hotel died 22 Jul 1895 and left an estate valued at £410.

31 Mar 1901 - Census - Marsh Hotel, Littletown. Landlord recorded as Joshua J Broadbent and family.

2 Aug 1901 - Licence Transfer - Marsh Hotel, Rawfolds. The licence was provisionally transferred to William Booth.

4 Jan 1905 - Parish Registers - Baptism at St. John's church, Cleckheaton recording George Schofield as the innkeeper of the Marsh Hotel.

2 Apr 1911 - Census - Marsh Hotel, Bradford Road, Rawfolds. Innkeeper recorded as W S Hardy & family.

29 Sep 1939 - 1939 Register - Marsh Hotel, Dewsbury Road. Landlord recorded as Norman Gill and family.
