The Heart of Branch Communications
Held by a Volunteer Member of the LTECH Committee, and is our branch members first point of contact for all queries not answered by the information on this site.

There are 2 types of emails you will recieve from BECTU:
1) from an official, or mailing list instigated by a paid Official from Head Office, usually from a personalised email address
2) from the Branch Secretary, a volunteer committee member, sent from BRANCHEMAIL
In both cases, check the reply address as they may not go directly to the person you wish to speak with
Prospect and BECTU are making changes to membership services to ensure that the union has a modern database fit for the future.
You do not need to do anything yet, we will let you know when you do. However, the key changes you should expect are that:
All members will need to reset their passwords for the website using a simple online registration process
There will be a modernised members’ hub on the website allowing members to update their details and preferences
A refreshed online process for new members joining the union
We will be using a different system for accessing documents on BECTU website
We will provide much more information closer to the time.
These changes are part of the first steps which aims to renew many of the digital tools which support the work of our union.
