THREE MONTHS FREE membership if you join this week: use code HUW26.
On joining the LTECH Branch, BECTU Membership Department should email you a welcome pack with a link to information about the mobile phone and the SMS service run by the Committee for the benefit of our members.
SMS messages are linked to the details you provide in your BECTU PROFILE, which you can view and edit in the BECTU MEMBERS AREA
Your Login details will be either your BECTU membership Number or the email BECTU has for you & your password of choice.
If you do not know or have forgotten your login details, there is an option to reset them on the login page linked above
The handset is paid for out of member subscriptions, and looked after by LTECH Reps, who would usually hand it around between themselves depending on their own personal workload, and the campaign running at the time.
When the phone changes hands, a text will go out identifying the current Keeper, and their name will be listed in the Members Area.
Please remember that the Reps are unpaid volunteers, who are also working of productions, usually doing the same hours as you, but we endeavour to answer queries as quickly as possible.
The Branch Mobile is the central hub of branch communications and is used to send messages, make and receive phone calls, and to swap information between the LTECH Committee and its members.
We send bulletins, links and other useful Department specific information.
We announce Branch Meetings and other events
If a member reports a problem on their job, an SMS is very good at warning other members of the problem.
If there are questions about rates, an agreement or just want a second opinion, text or call, and we will point you in the right direction.
There are a number of possible reasons; from being attached to the wrong branch, to wrong mobile number format, to lapsed membership.
As your personal data is governed by GDPR/Privacy Laws, only you are authorised to make changes to your BECTU Membership.
If you cannot reach a solution using the methods above, send an email to bectusparks@gmail.com and we will do our best to guide you.
Aside from BECTU campaigning on our behalf, membership offers other benefits - hit the button, or follow the links at the bottom of the page
Please Note: The Lighting Technicians Branch of BECTU do not use Whatsapp or Facebook etc, as part of our wider communications, preferring instead, SMS text messages & email.
As of November 2022, we have launched a Broadcast only Telegram service, which will mirror some, but not all messages sent out via SMS
Any views expressed within any other type of messaging service may not be the official view of the branch.
If in doubt, please get in touch.
Whatsapp is the preferred communication tool for official committee run groups only.
If you want to stop all the texts from the branch, including polls, news on Rates increases, T&Cs discusions and voting, you can click https://wxint.cc/cpawKF from your mobile, and the system will not send to your number any further.
Should you wish to start receiving SMS messages from us again, first check you are still a member, then get back in touch, so we can reinstate your number.
