Since the last Coal fired power station went offline on 30th September 2024, the UK has become ever more reliant on other sources of electricity
The rest of the power requirements come mostly from Gas, but with interconnects with other countries, the UK does export any excess generated power. Those interconnects can also be reversed, so if we need a bit more, we can buy in from those other countries too.
