The LTECH Branch of BECTU does not maintain or administer any public or open discussion group on any other social media platform such as WhatsApp, Facebook or X (Twitter)
Alongside email, Closed WhatsApp Groups are used only to administer internal LTECH Branch business.
The Lighting Technicians (LTECH) Branch Committee invite discussions with members through email, SMS and closed WhatsApp groups.
These services are intended to be an inclusive environment where opportunities are open to all, diversity is valued, and where everybody can contribute without fear of harassment, prejudice or discrimination.
All users of these official LTECH services agree to:
• Act honestly, responsibly and with integrity.
• Communicate respectfully and honestly.
• Treat others with fairness, dignity, and respect.
• Encourage the open expression of views at meetings but accept collective responsibility for all decisions and policies once finalised.
• Not behave in ways that may cause physical or mental harm or distress to another person, such as verbal abuse, physical abuse, assault, bullying, or discrimination or harassment.
Prospect, Bectu and the LTECH Branch reserves the right to request deletion of any posts or comments that breach the above.
Any users who consistently breach the code of conduct may be removed from group/service.
Please adhere to BECTU’s privacy policy and do not use or share data outside of the group, unless specifically requested to by a member of the LTECH Committee or holder of the Branch Mobile.
Report any breach to the groups Admin in the first instance. Should a resolution not be forthcoming, contact the LTECH Branch Secretary.
