Training Bursaries
There are a number of different funds set up specifically to contribute funds to people in the industry who want to sit courses and progress their personal development skills.
These funds may be eligible put towards such things as a cherry picker course, regulatory update course (eg 18th edition) or a PAT testing course, and in some cases, buy small pieces of industry relevant equipment
Each bursary or skills fund is different. Each has its own eligibility criteria, application & acceptance processes.

A ScreenSkills bursary is a cash grant designed to remove some of the practical barriers to making progress in the screen industries and pay for training or other costs associated with skills development.
up to £1000 towards trade union-related education for Bectu members, particularly those in difficult circumstances. NOT for Vocational Training

Scotland
Creative Scotland's funding programme -Open Fund: Sustaining Creative Development
Providing support for individuals working in film and television to access training, mentoring and other professional development activity, nationally and internationally.
Wales

Northern Ireland
The Skills Fund is a grant offered to individuals working in the Northern Ireland screen sector and is designed to support financially those participating in training or development courses.
