The LTECH branch of BECTU was set up to represent Lighting Technicians, predominantly in the Feature Film, Commercial and TV Drama Sectors, known in BECTU as the Production Division.
This may not be the best branch for you to be represented by if you regularly work outside those sectors
Below are some possible alternatives
Independent Broadcasting Division
If you regularly work in Outside Broadcast or Multi Camera Studios for independent broadcasters or facilities companies, you may be better represented by a branch in BECTU's Independent Broadcasting (IB) Division
If you regularly work in Outside Broadcast or Multi Camera Studios for the BBC you may be better represented by BECTUs BBC Division

Any membership changes must be instigated by you under GDPR rules, so it is of the upmost importance that you keep your BECTU profile updated with not only your contact details, but also your sector of work as it may effect the information that you receive from the Union local office and HQ in London.Should you decide to move branches, it may take up to a month to remove your number off our Text Service, due to it being a lengthy manual process at head office.
