Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) Eligibility
To qualify you must:
be classed as an employee and have done some work for your employer
earn an average of at least £123 per week
have been ill for at least 4 days in a row (including non-working days)
PAYE Contracts
PAYE Contracts usually deduct Tax & NI at source.
Most PAYE Contracts are issued to employees that have extra employment rights and responsibilities that do not apply to workers who are not employees.
Employees are eligible for SSP

Loan Out Contracts
Loan out Contracts cover those who are classed as self-employed or run/engaged through a Limited Company
A person is self-employed if they run their business for themselves and take responsibility for its success or failure.
Self-employed workers are not paid through PAYE, and they do not have the rights and responsibilities of an employee.
In most cases, it is likely that SSP is not applicable.
