UPDATE: During training, ONLY select games from August or September of 2024 (the video says 2023 because it was created last year)
Open the landing page on Google Chrome and select the correct environment (Testing or Gameday)
If you do not have Google Chrome, you must download it to your phone immediately.
Log in with the email address that you registered with
Click the date on the left side of your screen
Navigate through the calendar to find the correct date of your game (all times are Eastern)
It is crucial that you select the correct game. Yes, we've had scouts pick the wrong game in the past
The first screen you should see is the key players for the game:
Starting QB
Top 2 rushers
Top 3 receivers (these could be WRs, RBs, or TEs)
Answer the following questions: Select Role (Clock or Plays). Who won the coin toss? Did they Kick/Defer or Receive? Which team will be on your left (field orientation)?
When the clock reaches 0:00 in the 1st-3rd quarters, you will be prompted to end the quarter
Keep in mind the semantics here. We are ending the previous quarter, not beginning the next quarter
Therefore, the instant you are prompted to end the previous quarter, you must do so (this includes halftime). The clock will be reset to 15:00 for the ensuing quarter and will not start ticking until you hit Start
The end of Q4 will have a slightly different protocol, which can be seen below
Ending a game is very easy, just press End Game
This button will become visible if the score is NOT tied and the clock is 0:00 in Q4
The button will become grayed out after it is tapped. Additionally, please notify your game supervisor when your game is complete
If the game is tied, you will be prompted to Begin OT1. See below for OT responsibilities
Similarly to the first 3 quarters, you should End Game or Begin OT1 as soon as the button becomes available
Once the game goes into OT, navigate to Settings and select OT1
OT1 will automatically prompt you back to the coin toss screen, similar to the beginning of the game. The one exception is that the coin toss winner will select "Offense" or "Defense" rather than "Receive" or Kick"
Banjo will automatically start the Offensive team at the 25-yard line (per NCAA rule)
Enter all plays as normal. You will need to flip the field on each change of possession
If the game goes into a second overtime period, you will change to OT2 in Settings, and so on for additional overtime periods
In OT3 and beyond, each will play will technically be a 2-point conversion. Therefore, the Play Scout becomes responsible for snapping the ball. Banjo has logic built to handle this situation
If the score is tied and the clock shows 0:00 in Q4, Banjo will prompt you to begin OT1. You should do so immediately
Since there is no clock in NCAA OT, you will no longer have to "Run" or "Stop" the clock after each play
You will continue to hit Snap, update the score, and charge timeouts
Your only new responsibility is to begin the new overtime period when necessary
If your game gets to the 2-point shootout in OT3+, you will no longer need to hit Snap. The button is tappable, but its function is disabled. You will still be responsible for scores and timeouts
Please complete the quiz (7 questions) below. 100% is required to be considered passing. You may retake as many times as you need:
