An interception can only happen from the passing screen
Select Turnover (bottom left) > Interception > You will then be prompted to select the yard line where the interception was returnedÂ
Yes, technically an interception is an incomplete pass, but selecting interception will automatically add the necessary pass attempt on the back end for Box Score purposes
Fumble Lost = Recovered by Defense. Possession is lost
A fumble can happen at any point during a play. Tap the Turnover Alert as soon as you see the football on the ground
You will be prompted with 2 different yardage scrollers - first to chart where the ball was fumbled and then to chart where the recovery was advanced. These can be the same yard line and will be in many cases
You may also utilize the Fumble button on the Play Design screen if the fumble occurs before you can truly identify the play type. The two cases for this would be (1) a bad snap/dropped snap from shotgun, or (2) a bad exchange from under center
On a Strip Sack, you must select QB Scramble (this will indicate on the back end that the play is a Sack), and then tap the turnover toggle on the yardage scroller
You will need to input the yard line where the ball was fumbled, then on the post-turnover screen, select where the ball was recovered/returned to
The only times you would select Turnover without selecting an option on the Passing screen are (1) an Interception or (2) in the rare event that the QB loses the ball without being touched (slips out of his hand on the wind-up)
No Turnover = Recovered by Offense. Possession is retained (this applies to fumbles that go out of bounds as well)
If the Defense has any reasonable chance at recovering the ball, utilize Turnover Alert > Fumble
After you select the Turnover Alert, select the yard line where the ball carrier fumbled the football
If the offense recovers the football OR it goes out of bounds, select No Turnover on the Penalty Type screen > Confirm
The output for a No Turnover play will be where the ball was fumbled. You will need to edit the field map if the ball was recovered on a different yard line than where it was fumbled
NOTE: As long as the ensuing play has the correct yard line + D&D, you will not lose points toward your accuracy bonus
If the ball is dropped and immediately jumped on without any real threat of the offense losing possession (i.e. dropped shotgun snap, the ball is punched out of bounds right near the sideline), then you do not need a Turnover Alert
