The field map is tappable and can be edited manually if necessary. The most important thing is that the current state of the game in Banjo ALWAYS matches exactly what the current state of the game is on the field and scoreboard. Our motto is, "Be right now."
The Flip Field function will be used at the end of a quarter and in overtime. The Field Map should reflect your vantage point, not the Press Box or anyone else. The Field Map is for your eyes only.
The down & distance editor will be necessary for some penalties. Furthermore, football can be wacky sometimes. The football may be spotted incorrectly, a penalty may be enforced incorrectly, etc. We need you to have a way to account for all of these things, as well as your own mistakes or connectivity issues that are out of your control.
Tapping on the field itself will prompt you with 2 options:
Flip Field - you will use this at the end of the quarter. It will flip the field orientation so that your map matches the actual field from your perspective. You will use this on each change of possession in OT as well
Switch Possession (POSS) - will allow you to manually switch which team has possession. NOTE: If you enter plays correctly, this should rarely be used, but it can be useful for very wacky plays, misclicks, and connectivity issues
Tap on Down and Distance (Upper Right) to manually change either number (you can type it in or use the + and - buttons)
Tap on the yard line (Upper Left) to manually change the number (you can type it in or use the + and - buttons)
Tap on the text to the left of the yard line to manually change the side of the field
At the end of the 1st half, tap on the field map and select the yellow End 1st Half button. This will set up the 1st half receiving team to be the kicking team from their OWN 35-yard line. You may still have to flip the field yourself
Similar to Clock Scout, you should select this as soon as the 1st half is over and the teams are heading into the locker room
If for some reason, you need to revert to the 1st half, you can select Undo End 1st Half, and Banjo will restore you to the last run play of Q2. If you need to do this, contact your game supervisor immediately. This should be an incredibly rare occurrence
This is not optional. You must do this every game. Do NOT use the old 2nd Half kickoff protocol
