The Clock Scout is responsible for ensuring the game state is accurate. This includes the time on the clock, the status of the clock (running or stopped), the score, and when a timeout is called. They are also responsible for all timeouts (both team and official).
In addition, Clock Scout is responsible for charting the snap. Each offensive play must have a corresponding Snap, and it is your responsibility to make sure they are in sync.
Lastly, this role was designed for you to be a spotter for the Play Scout. You and your partner can decide how to communicate, but it is very important that you serve as the extra set of eyes to help identify yard lines, players, penalties, etc.
Snap - Tap this when the ball is snapped
Run - Tap this to indicate that the clock is running at the END of the play
Stop - Tap this to indicate that the clock is stopped at the END of the play
Full Stop - Use this on plays where the clock is stopped and will not restart until the next snap (incomplete pass, interception, out of bounds under 2:00, etc.)
Temp Stop - Use this on temporary stoppages where the clock will resume on the official's signal (out of bounds outside of 2:00, 1st down under 2:00). Find the white hat and start the clock on the windmill signal. You will not be able to snap the next play until you resume the clock by tapping Run
Tap on either team's score to edit. You can double-tap to manually enter a number or use the + and - to add or subtract by 1
Tap on the minute or second to edit. Similarly to the score, you can double tap to manually enter a number or use the + and - to add and subtract by 1. I would strongly recommend manually entering numbers for the clock
If you somehow find yourself in the wrong quarter, this must be fixed immediately. Tap next to the quarter number and then use the + and - to increase or decrease the quarter (you shouldn't have to do this unless there is a role switch or connectivity issues)
If you are a few seconds off while the clock is running, we are ok with that. However, you should use every dead-ball situation to check and fix the clock if necessary. There should NEVER be a situation where the Banjo clock and Game clock do not match in a stopped clock situation
Last season, some scouts reported that the Banjo clock ticked more slowly than the Game clock when the weather was hot. Be aware that this could happen
