Luigi’s Mansion 3 is a remarkable third entry in the Luigi’s Mansion series, and in my opinion, is the best of the three. First of all, I should point out that this is one of the best-looking Switch games. The lighting and shading, the colors that pop out in its haunted setting, just looks really good. Another aspect of the game that I also really enjoyed were the puzzles. Each puzzle utilized a new feature of the Poltergust G-00 in unique and distinct ways. I especially loved some puzzles using all of the Poltergust’s abilities. Just shows how much potential the devs have with the future of the Luigi’s Mansion series.
Now if I had to point out any flaws with Luigi’s Mansion 3, I will say the combat can get a little stale after a while. While it is satisfying slamming ghosts all around, and practically comboing one defeated slammed ghost into another, it can get a little tiresome once you get towards the end of the game though. To be fair, that’s just how I’ve felt about all of the Luigi’s Mansion games, because that’s just how they’re designed, so take that as you will, whether I can even call that a flaw in LM3, if it’s a flaw in the whole series.
Overall, this is another must play game on the Switch. It’s charm and humor, its graphics, and it’s combat (to some extend) makes this a great experience for veteran Luigi’s Mansion fans, and those who have never played one before.
