World Timeline

The world of Seirei no Kuni is filled with mysticism, spiritualism, and fantastical creations. From Kaiju to benevolent forest spirits the Kami roam free.

???? BCW: The First Emperor creates Seirei no Kuni as a large rectangle landmass that is 150 million square kilometers. The Emperor splits these land masses into four smaller sections that become known as Kita, Minami, Higashi, and Nishi. The split in the landmass creates a large X with a massive island at the center which then becomes the Royal Island where the Emperor and his Family live. The Royal Family consist entirely of Nine-Tailed Kitsune.

???? BCW: The Four Masses are cut up by the Royal Family into different Archipelagos. The humans that lived on these landmasses were subject to magical transformations, turning the population of Seirei no Kuni into Aasimar, Catfolk, Drow, Elves, Humans, Kitsune, Lizardfolk, Tiefling, and Warforged. The Royal Family of the time left their children unsupervised and the races of Aasimar, Tiefling, Catfolk, Kitsune, and Lizardfolk were created. Two Royals , due to an arguement, created the Elves and Drow.

???? BCW: The new races begin to form clans. The five largest of these are Cenél Moen, Eshen, Kurama, Eos, and Shiva.

1000 BCW: Clan tensions begin between the Moen, Kurama, Shiva, and Eshen clans. The next one hundred years are filled with small skirmishes among the four regions in the outlying islands.

900 BCW: The one hundred years of clan skirmishes has upset the Royal Family and caused them to start striking out on their own. Wherever the clans skirmish the Royal Family effecitvely drops a massive bomb on top of the area, killing thousands in the process. This stops the skirmishes from being done overtly, but not entirely.

800 BCW: Despite hundreds of thousands dying ever few years due to the Royal Family bombing an area where Clan tensions are high, Clan tensions increase further. Training programs are developed to achieve Bankai and Chikushou forms quickly. These training programs are largely a failure and cause more problematic rogue Yohei who are out of control monsters than anything else.

700 BCW: The Royal Family, after nearly two hundred years of slaughtering innocents and Yohei alike, decide to send forth a contingent of soldiers to subjugate the clans. A wanderer from beyond the Endless Seas reaches out to the Five Clans and gives them a forbidden technique known as Presence. Presence spreads throughout the lands and is used by all Yohei often.

600 BCW: The Five Great Clans come together, with their few captains having learned Presence to full Step 3 Mastery, to face down the Royal Family. This causes millions of deaths across the entirety of the land and embroils it in an age of darkness and death. Crops are manipulated to never give more than is absolutely needed to sustain a local village, livestock die in droves, natural disasters wreck landscapes. The power of the Royal Family is unchecked.

500 BCW: The land of Seirei no Kuni is left destitute and barren. The remaining Captains beseech the teacher of Presence. The stranger from another land helps them achieve Step 4 and then leaves. The new Step 4 users confront the Royal Family and together are able to force a contract. The damage is repaired, a magically binding contract is reached that affects all those born into the Royal Family. The exact contents of this contract are unknown, but are unable to be circumvented. Part of this contract dictates that a new Royal Guard known as the Hogokami will be arbiters of the Royal's Will in the lands. Step 3 Presence usage will be restricted to the Hogokami and their direct pupils, whereas Step 4 usage is completely banned. Because of this largely the secrets of Presence are lost to the common Yohei. The contract also dictates that the Royal Family must undo all of the damage done to the lands.
