Iritherial. Quiet. The Sorceress Beyond Time and Space. The Grand Matriarch.
Yggdrasill.
The Empress has many names, many pasts, many futures. To those that truly know her the one name she resonates with is Quiet. The world of Seirei no Kuni knows her simply as The Empress. Her actual age is unknown. Her actual lineage is unknown. Where she came from is unknown. All that is known is that she appears as depicted. Her Hogokami is usually free to do as they wish, interact with who they wish, and only when they grievously violate the good will of The Empress does she step into the foray.
There have been rumors that she is seeking "A good story to watch. Something interesting." but many poets, artists, and novelists have approached her with tribute to give her a good story only to be told they misunderstand her desire. The current leader of the Royal Family is most intriguing as there have been some, minor unfounded, rumors that she has appeared off of the Royal Island...
Kyoyuki Kazahana is a woman that emulates the cold of her homeland. The daughter of a Clan Shiva and a Clan Moen pair Kyoyuki understands and values the concept of balance within things. Cold and calculating she may be but the people of Kita are at the center of her decisions. She is seen as the most popular of the Daimyo, as Kita has prospered greatly under her leadership.
Her primary focus on the economic side is the sustainability of the fishing market and other unique offerings that Kita has. She works policy and law in order to simultaneously enrich her peoples lives but also the ability to sustain such enrichment. Of the Four Daimyo she is by far the most self-reliant.
Roy D. Marigold had been, at one point in his life, a rampant pirate of the seas. His fleet rivaled that of any major nation and once upon a time there was another Daimyo in Higashi, a Daimyo that was easy to corrupt and easier to take from. Admiral Marigold saw and opportunity and took over the Daimyo quickly and established himself as the new Daimyo of Higashi. From there he spent his days educating his sailors, uplifting them, and doing so for the general populace of Higashi as well.
While Roy D. Marigold is now an older scholar of sunny disposition, the old pirate still remains in him, ruthless as ever.
Majima
John H. Hopkins.
Known wide and far, the man without a Honzen yet capable of manhandling Hogokami like they were children. The Old Man is simultaneously a fairy tale, a legend, a living man, and a being of mythical proportions. His motives are unknown, his location is never clear for too long, and those that seek him out are destined to die.
The only known things about The Old Man are that he enjoys serving people a bowl of steaming hot noodles, and appreciates a really good cup of tea.
The Sovereign Emperor of All That Lives.
A man known for his powerful Presence more than his Honzen powers. The man known for bringing together Moen and Kurama. The man known as the half brother of Veri Kuolema. One of the reasons for the begining and the end of the clan wars, Keisari Vihrea is a legendary figure in the annals of the Yohei. His natural charisma, power, and weight were considered legendary, so much so that he is held in the same echelons as the Yohei that fought back the Royals in the Old Wars. Him and his sister are responsible for the creation of the Valley of the End and many many more lesser known scars on the landscape that have yet to heal.
The Dragon Who Would Consume Even God
Hunger incarnate. The ravenous beast. Consumption in all that it means. More than greed or gluttony, Veri was a force of nature that broke down everything in her path. Unlike her half brother she brought together the other two clans, Shiva and Eshen, an alliance that exists to this day. The psychotic woman was known for arriving on an island and leaving it covered in blood and corpses, there were no prisoners with her. An unstoppable force of destruction that even the Hogokami of old could not contend with. Her and her brother rent the land asunder in a way even the Royals could not and would be felt for generations to come.
The statues at the Valley of the End are of her and her iconic brother.
