There are very little truths to the world. A Moen will protect. An Eshen will scheme. A Kurama will be realistic. A Shiva will survive. An Eos will help. These are five great intrinstic truths of the world. Things that are typically common knowledge. The Great Clan of Eos purports to help those in need, even in detriment to themselves. To this extent they make home on no single island or region, and instead travel from place to place. An Eos is a traveler first and foremost, only doing contracts or oddjobs for the money needed to survive. Otherwise Yohei of Eos are rarely seen doing work, and instead are wandering the world, wondering what new wonderful experience will come to them next.
The founder of Eos was a pirate woman named, funnily enough Eos. Named after an ancient Goddess of the Dawn it was seemed destined from birth that she would seek it forever. The sun never truly set on her voyages, as from a young age she bonded with a Honzen and plunged herself deep into the seas. She sailed from place to place and spread her ideology of helping those in need to expand yourself. Despite what others may claim, Eos was the first to ever awaken her Yokai and achieve the Chikushou form, being the person to actually name the technique and lay the foundations for later development.
A friend in need is a friend indeed.

In order to become an Officer of Eos one must submit a ballad. This Ballad must contain at least twenty different locations and ten different cultures spoken about in the Ballad. This Ballad will be presented to other Officers and discussed before a Lieutenant gives a decision. One must wait one year between rejection and re-submission of a Ballad.
Unlike the Officer test the Lieutenant test of the Eos actually requires an intense amount of study rather than just life experience. Before a panel of Eos clan members, each of who is an expert in their field, the Officer in question must hold a lengthy debate on the nature of life, arguing against the core belief of Clan Eos in particular. It is thought by the Captains that doing this helps Clan Eos members understand their ethos to a level that no other Clan imparts to their members.
The Captain test is far easier in concept than in execution than either previous test. One must do a great deed, what constitutes a great deed is decided upon by a majority of the Clan itself. If the majority of the clan believe a Lieutenant has done a Great Deed, and there is an open slot for a Captain then that Lieutenant will be promoted instantly.
