Crossed the 1000 meal mark

While we are glad to have scaled up to 1050 meals today, it's a grim reminder of the extent of the crisis that our society is facing.

Today we supplied food to a society of 'Blind / Mute' people who were making ends meet by making some handicrafts, and other utility items. They and their families are struggling in the current crisis and we decided to step up and deliver food to them through another grassroots volunteer group.

Many NGO's are running out of funds or simply stopping support, resulting in an increasing number of requests for food. It is very difficult to make a choice as to who not to support, but we have to match our resource availability with the severity of the need as perceived by us.

A big salute to our kitchen staff who have risen to the challenge and ramped up within 10 days from a modest 108 meals to 1050 meals! With his grace, may we be able to feed all those who reach out in need.
