On 7th April, 2020 volunteers from Thane distributed essential commodities, viz., (Oil & soaps ) in collaboration with Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) at four locations namely, Dadoji Kondadev Stadium, Thane Mahanagar Palika Sikhshan Vibhag -Vartak Nagar and Patlipada Municipal school, Viatava centre where around 400 people are stranded due to lockdown. This ration will suffice for about 15 days.

Our good friend Sai Varadarajan, a social activist associated with Mumbai Kendra, is on a mission for the last 7 to 8 years at Ghodbunder Road, Thane. He has created a group of volunteers who teach students from 1st to 10th standard. We have been able to help 45 families with dry ration supply under our SSM initiative. The drive was conducted over a period of 3 weeks, as we had to call 2 to 3 students per day due to lockdown. Essentials distributed included Rice, Aata, Toor Daal, Sugar, Oil and Masala.
