Record 900 meals in Chennai; PPE for Hospital Staff in Coimbatore
Today was a busy day for our Kitchen staff and they were up to the challenge. We made our first delivery to the 'Shelter for Migrant Labour' set up by the Chennai Corporation in Thiruvottiyur. It was hard work, but very very satisfying.
We have been fortunate to get the support and contributions of several good samaritans, allowing us to not say No to those in need.
We continued our dispatch from the Gurudwara kitchen and the distribution of food to Daily wagers and Street Dwellers in parts of the city.
In Coimbatore, we discovered that the medical fraternity at ESI Hospital, which is the city's nerve centre of COVID-19 Operations, requires support in the form of personal protective equipment (PPE) and sanitizers. Satsang Seva Mission stepped in and provided 100 PPEs and 20 500ml sanitizer bottles.
The Dean of Coimbatore Medical College acknowledged and appreciated the gesture and wholeheartedly thanked the Mission for its services.
