MARATHA LIFE FOUNDATION, LOKHANDE

On 8th August, Mumbai Kendra distributed 500 face masks and 50 soaps to the inmates of the Maratha Life Foundation, near Vasai, an Ashram founded and run by retired Kargill soldier of our Indian Army, Mr. Kisan Lokhande. The kendra has regularly been involved in the overall welfare of these inmates in the form of conducting regular eye checkups, followed by cataract operations and blood tests. We have also been helping the ashram with supply of essential rations consisting of rice, daal, wheat flour, edible oil and salt, along with donations of clothes to the inmates who comprise of small children to senior citizens found left as destitutes on the roads. For the future benefit of the inmates we have also planted about a dozen fruit trees in the ashram ground.

Our Mumbai Kendra once again served the inmates at Maratha Life Foundation, on the 31st of December, 2020, an Ashram operated by Shri Lokhandeji.

On getting request from the Ashram, we were able to distribute 70 sweaters and 70 scarfs for female inmates, and 100 winter caps for male inmates. We also distributed sports items for all, and toys for children. These were arranged by Mumbai Satsangis. We are thankful to them for their generous donations.

Our representatives interacted and played various games, and cricket with the children and the inmates. They all were very happy & the smiles on their faces elevated our inspiration. It accurately reiterated the belief that, 'Manav Sewa is Shreshta Sewa', as explained by our beloved Sri M.
