'...the best way to help the poor, is economic growth & job creation...'

-Myron Magnet

We kickstarted our latest initiative today by enabling a group of women to earn a living by making high quality 'Reusable Masks'. These women were working in the 'Eyetex' factory and were laid off. They have bought sewing machines on loan using the PM's Mudra Loan scheme in a bid to be self reliant. Unfortunately, the lockdown scuttled their plans and compounded their misery.

We have provided the women with the necessary cloth and other accessories. We also undertake the distribution of these masks. Working from home, these ladies can now contribute to their family income and be self reliant in these trying times.

We plan to distribute these masks for free across the various locations where the food distribution is taking place. This will ensure that the vulnerable sections of society have the basic protection they need against the dreaded COVID-19.

The food preparation and distribution continued as usual. Today's menu was 'Veg Biriyani'. We were also glad to receive very good feedback on the taste and the quality of the food provided by us from the recipients as conveyed to the volunteers.
